Does Natural Adeventures guide big game hunting on private lands in Colorado?

We currently have nearly 200,000 acres of some of the finest private hunting lands under lease in Colorado. All properties are managed for quality hunting, enabling us to offer clients a quality hunt for better-

All of our tags are issued by drawing from the Colorado Division of Wildlife. The deadline for applying is early April with the draw taking place in early June. We assist with all application procedures, including obtaining landowner applications if necessary.

Does Natural Adventures offer rifle, archery, or muzzleloader elk hunts?

We offer trophy elk hunts in units 39, 391, and 201, which are three of the top trophy elk units in the state. We offer rifle, archery, and muzzleloader hunts.

Area 391 hunts will take 1-2 preference points and are conducted on a small parcel of private property. We take only two rifle hunters per year, first rifle season, and have enjoyed 100% success, with the average bull scoring over 300 points. We will also take two bowhunters or muzzleloaders in this unit. In unit 39 we will take two bowhunters and four rifle hunters. We have a limited number of landowner applications available for these hunts. These hunts will be conducted on a private ranch and some public lands under permit with the USFS-Arapahoe N.F. You are responsible for your own food and lodging. Hunt is based out of Denver.

Unit 201 is a bugle hunt opening October 1. Permits through the regular draw will take 11-12 preference points, but we do have a limited number of landowner applications available at an additional cost (see rates below), which will get you a permit with only 2-3 preference points. This is an awesome hunt. with lots of big bulls (310-350) and very little hunter pressure. We have enjoyed 100% success on these hunts. This hunt can also be combined with a trophy antelope hunt. Price includes food and lodging at the ranch.

Where in Colorado does Natural Adventures run its deer hunts?

We offer the finest-quality deer hunts in Colorado. These hunts are conducted on private lands on Colorado’s famed Eastern Plains. Trophy whitetail and mule deer abound on the plains. Our average success the past 12 years has been 85-90%, with the average whitetail grossing around 150, with bucks over 170 taken regularly, and the average mule deer grossing about 175 -- with numerous 190+ bucks taken. All of our leases are tightly managed to provide our clients with a very high quality hunt for trophy class animals. We offer rifle, archery and muzzleloader hunts.

Most rifle hunts are spot-and-stalk, while most archery and muzzleloader hunts are from well placed treestands. We take a very limited number of hunters, and ALL permits are by draw. Depending upon area, most tags can be drawn with 0-1 points, though we do have some hunts which can take up to 4 points. We hunt units 102, 103, 105, 107, 109, 111, 112 and 113. We offer two bowhunts, two muzzleloader hunts and an early- and late-fall rifle hunt. We take care of all application procedures and have landowner applications available when necessary. These hunts are conducted out of motels in Limon or Burlington, and clients are responsible for their own food and lodging.

What about trophy antelope hunts?

We currently offer trophy rifle antelope hunts in units 2 and 201 in northwest Colorado. These hunts are for trophy bucks averaging 15 inches with scores over 75. We are based out of a ranch house and the hunts include all food and lodging. We have a limited number of landowner applications available for these hunts.

We also offer guided rifle antelope hunts in units 105, 112 and 114. This hunt is based out of motels in Limon and the client is responsible for their own food and lodging. We have averaged bucks of 13 to 15 inches on these hunts. You won’t put anything in the “book” here, but it’s a fun hunt for nice antelope.

The only unguided hunt we offer is for rifle antelope in units 105, 112 and 114 on the eastern plains. These are private land hunts where you are required to hunt on foot. To maintain this as a quality hunt, only a limited number of hunters will be allowed in each pasture. You are responsible for your own food, lodging and transportation.

Does Natural Adventures also offer archery antelope hunts?

We offer a three-day archery antelope hunt on the eastern plains. The tags for this hunt currently can be purchased over the counter on arrival. You will hunt from blinds constructed on well-used waterholes. You are responsible for your own food and lodging. Hunt is based out of Limon on over 100,000 acres of prime land. This hunt is new for 1999.
